With a natural talent for leadership and a lifelong commitment to service, McKinley J. Mathis brings both passion and experience to his role as President of the Zeta Psi chapter of Nu Phi Omicron for the 2024-2025 term. Hailing from Lake Charles, LA, McKinley is an Electrical Engineering major at Jackson State University, where he’s also a proud member of the Sonic Boom of the South, playing trumpet for the celebrated Summa Cum Laude of Bands. His journey with N Phi O began in Spring 2022, reflecting a deep commitment to community-driven values that later extended into his membership with Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.


McKinley’s leadership style is defined by his dedication to unity, his vision for service, and his unwavering enthusiasm for inspiring those around him. As President, he is committed to elevating the Zeta Psi chapter’s mission of service and engagement, setting the stage for impactful initiatives that not only strengthen chapter bonds but also enrich the broader community.
